The British film series, James Bond, is in production for its 25th installment. If you are unfamiliar with the spy film array, which is beyond the bounds of possibility, let us fill you in.
Who is James Bond?
Basically, the narrative of the film is about the fictional character, created by Ian Fleming, James Bond. He is a special agent in the Secret Intelligence Service, commonly known as M16 with code number 007.
The author Ian Fleming gave life to the character in a series of books that he wrote, inspired by several commanders in the Naval Intelligence Division, where Fleming rendered service for years. Bond is a complex character who lives in London but travels to different parts of the world to undertake different missions.
Bond has distinct traits in both the book series and film adaptations, such as being a romantic guy, excessive consumption of cigarettes and alcohol, and love for cars. In fact, the luxury sports cars brand, Aston Martin, became one of his trademarks.
Bond’s Trademark Cars
The DB5 model is the most famous James Bond car. It first got the public’s attention in a James Bond installment Goldfinger, starring the actor Sean Connery in 1964. And for the latest segment of the spy film series, another Aston Martin will make it’s appearance.
Thanks to the local news outlet in Norway, Dagbladet, the public had a glimpse of the Bond 25’s action-filled scene. The cast of Bond 25 filmed a car chase cut along the famous Norwegian Atlantic Ocean Road. Alongside two of the latest Land Rover Range Rover Sports and a 1990 European-spec Toyota Land Cruiser, is a nostalgic 1985 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The exact same model of Aston Martin first appeared in the 1987 film, The Living Daylights. And to add more nostalgia, the V8 Vantage in Bond 25 wears the same plate number Timothy Dalton drove; B549 WUU. Unfortunately, the reporters failed to confirm who drives the vehicle this time around, but we’re assuming that it will be Daniel Craig since he’s the current double-o-seven agent.
Bond 25
There are still minimal details about the upcoming 25th James Bond film. The filmmakers are hoping to release the film in the spring of next year. Bond’s co-M16 agents like Naomie Harris, portraying the same role as Eve Moneypenny will return for Bond 25, as well as agents Q and M, Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes.
Rami Malek will play the antagonist role for Bond 25
Meanwhile, the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award’s Best Actor, Rami Malek will take part in the villain role. He previously received several recognition for his remarkable portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018.
