Barbara Eden – 86

Barbara is best remembered by her role in I Dream of Jeannie. She is an American TV, Stage, and movie actress, who came up as a choir and nightclub singer.  Eden was in no position to choose her employment because her family was destitute, and despite her modest salary as a singer, she graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. She was elected Miss San Francisco 1951 and doors began to open. At first, Eden was a semi-regular on TV, in such shows as the Johnny Carson Show and The Millionaire, and soon became the star in major pictures. Speaking of the Happy Days series, Anson Williams surely couldn’t be missing from this list. He was, after all, the person who got to portray the character of Potsie Webber for so many years. He moved on to be part of other series like Baywatch. He has also built quite the portfolio as a director with projects such as Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. An episode of The Odd Couple in 2016 served as his last acting stint. Active from 1940, Terry Moore went through different stage names, being signed as Judy Ford, Jan Ford, and January Ford, before finally settling with Terry Moore in 1948. Her career took off shortly, as she starred in Mighty Joe Young the very next year, and in 1952, starred in Come Back Little Sheba, for which she earned an Oscar nomination. Terry Moore had five marriages, three of which had ended in divorce; one got dissolved, and another was until her husband’s death. Amazingly, Moore also posed nude for Playboy magazine at age 55. In 2018, Terry was seen in Saving Flora, and she is set to do three more movies coming out in 2019.

The 84-year-old actress Maggie Smith is not only alive and well, but she’s also still working hard in the movie and television industry. Modern audiences will recognize her for her notable role as Violet Crawley in Downtown Abbey, but she’s been appearing in movies and TV shows ever since the ’50s. Known for her British accent and ways, which she normally incorporates in her characters, Smith was also responsible for portraying Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movie franchise. Now with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kim Novak began her acting career in 1954, in such films as Picnic, The Man with the Golden Arm, Vertigo, and Pal Joey. Her movie career took off during the next decade and she worked with stars like Frank Sinatra and Kirk Douglas. In 1966, she withdrew from acting, at the peak of fame, and only sporadically appeared in movies over the next few decades. In the ‘90s, Novak had withdrawn completely from acting and currently works as a visual artist. Pauley Perrette, 50 – Actress

It has been a year since Pauley Perrette decided to end her stint in NCIS over a lengthy dispute with her co-star Mark Hamon. Even though she had taken up other acting jobs before the show, it wasn’t until she got to play Abby Sciuto when she got recognized. After all, the role was perfect for her given that she herself had studied criminal justice and had gone through a quirky fashion phase. After building up a considerable fortune in her savings account, she retired from dancing.  The ballerina started her own scholarship program and helps promising dancers forge careers.

Marge Champion – 99

Marge Champion started dancing at a young age, following in the footsteps of her older sister who was already in show business. Champion actually modeled for Disney as they worked on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It’s her movements and dancing that was used to create the princess. She went on to perform in many musicals and even got her own program on television. Her work as a choreographer and movement teacher built up her savings account even more, so now she can reap the rewards of a successful career.

Gloria Henry – 96

Fans of the Dennis the Menace sitcom are sure to recognize Gloria by her role as Dennis’ mother, Alice Mitchell. Gloria Henry is an American actress, who grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. After moving to Los Angeles, and some radio and stage work, Gloria debuted on The Sport of Kings, and soon after appeared in movies, such as Miss Grant Takes Richmond, Rancho Notorious, and there are also some sports-themed films in her portfolio. Her rise to fame came with her role on Dennis the Menace, in 1959. After the show had ended, she appeared occasionally on TV, but her career slowed down. In 2012, she had a guest appearance on the Parks and Recreation TV show.

Norma Miller – 98

Norma Miller came from a struggling family in Harlem but managed to make it all the way to the top. Her amazing Lindy Hop skills took her on dancing tours to Europe and the snazziest places all over  the world. She was awarded many honors for her dancing skills and will always be the Queen of Swing. We hope she was also able to build up a decent credit score to get her through old age with ease.

Janis Paige – 96

Janis Paige made a name for herself as a singer and actress. She rose to fame on Broadway, with Remains To Be Seen and The Pajama Game. Soon she was starring in films and television shows, leading to her very own star on the Walk of Fame. Yet it wasn’t always easy for her: she lost her voice for months due to bad vocal coaching, fearing she might never sing again. Her health insurance covered a good professional who coached her back to health. What a strong woman!

Christopher Walken – 76

Christopher Walken might as well be one of the most recognized faces of the century, and that’s probably because he has played roles in so many movies and series over the years it’s hard to keep track. Even though he started appearing on TV in the ’50s, he initially got praised with The Deer Hunter many years later. Since then, Christopher has maintained a busy career. His most recent project was the 2018 movie called The War With Grandpa. Not only is he alive and well at 76 years old, but he’s still working as well!

Paul Michael Glaser – 75

Debuting in 1971 in his first feature film Fiddler on the Roof, Glaser made a fruitful career in film and television in the next three decades. The most known projects he had appeared in were the TV series Starsky & Hutch and his directing films like The Running Man, and The Cutting Edge. He also directed and acted on the series, Third Watch. Glaser lost his first wife and child to AIDS; Elizabeth Glaser contracted the virus through a blood transfusion and unknowingly passed it to her daughter through breastfeeding. We wouldn’t be surprised if Glaser required psychological therapy to cope with their loss, but amazingly he soldiered on. His most recent role was a recurring appearance on Ray Donovan, in 2013.

Barry Sanders – 51

Remember Barry Sanders? He is a former running back who is deemed as one of the best to have ever played in that position in the NFL. He set a record with his all-career team, the Detroit Lions, in 1997 after rushing over 2,000 yards in one single season. Naturally, he was picked as 1997’s NFL Most Valuable Player. In that same year, he was considered to be NFL‘s Offensive Player of the Year and received a Bert Bell Award. In 1998, Barry retired earlier than some would expect. Following his exit, the Detroit Lions honored him by retiring jersey number 20.

Tom Skerritt – 85

Tom Skerrit is one of those actors that you will always remember their face. He has had roles on some of the more known TV shows and movies. If you were a Gunsmoke fan you will instantly remember him. He Has also played the role of a high ranking officer in Top Gun by the name of “Viper”. It turns out Tom is also a businessman and an owner of a company by the name of “Heyou Media”. Tom Skerritt acts to this day and owns a few different properties in Washington.

Cloris Leachman – 92

During a 7-decade-long career, American actress Cloris Leachman won eight Primetime Emmys, a Daytime Emmy, and an Oscar Award for her role on The Last Picture Show. It all began for Cloris being elected Miss Chicago, but she wasn’t interested in fashion. Instead, she immediately got regular roles on TV shows, like on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She also appeared in films, such as Young Frankenstein, The Beverly Hillbillies, and many others. Cloris is still active today, being seen on American Gods and on Justice League Action as the voice of Granny Goodness.

Al Pacino – 79

Fifty years ago, Al Pacino got his first-ever role in a movie as Tony in Me, Natalie. Now, all these decades later, he has been able to star in so many legendary movies and has won so many accolades for his performances that he’s become arguably one of the best-known male actors of the past decades. Despite this, he has never stopped working. In fact, in 2019, he participated in not one but two of the most expected films of the year: Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. He might be 79 years old, but he’s still a force to be reckoned with!

Ed Asner – 89

A former president of the Screen Actors Guild, Ed Asner is known as an American actor and a voice actor. Ed got his education at the University of Chicago. After he served in the U.S. Army Corps, performing plays in army camps, Ed left for New York City and during the ’70s and the ‘80s became known for The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Lou Grant. He was also seen in El Dorado, some animated movies such as Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas, and in 2009’s Pixar movie Up. Asner is set to appear in a lead role on Dead to Me, in 2019, which means an increase in his $10-million net worth.

Loni Anderson – 74

The well known CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, which ran from 1978 to 1982, earned Loni Anderson two Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes. Her acting debut came in 1966, with a part on Nevada Smith. One whole decade without an acting job later, Loni started appearing in TV series as a guest role. Eventually, Loni got the role of Jennifer Marlowe after the producers saw her poster in a red swimsuit, for she was a pin-up girl known for her strong jawline and platinum blonde hair. She continues to fill up her bank account through her recurring role in the TV series My Sister is so Gay and still appears on TV and film.

Christopher Plummer – 88

Christopher Plummer is probably most famous for his work in The Sound Of Music. The actor had a long and successful career, becoming one of Canada’s big points of pride. He was even awarded the Canadian Screen Award for Lifetime Achievement. Plummer worked in the business for over 50 years and earned a $20 million net worth, never shunning the stage or the small screen. Never say you can’t achieve things at a later age because Plummer won an Academy Award at 82 and was the oldest actor to ever do so. He may leave retirement planning for later, but in his case, that seems like the best decision.

James Caan – 79

In the Bronx, back in 1940, James Caan was born. He became an incredibly talented actor whose performances are still being looked up to by younger generations. James got to play in films like The Glory Guys, The Gambler, and probably the one for which he’s mostly remembered, The Godfather in 1972. James was able to get inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame shortly after his most successful movies in 1978. He is now 79 years old and has never taken a break from being in front of a camera. James is currently set to participate in the JL Family Ranch 2 film in 2020.

Bob Barker – 95

Bob is one of the most famous game show hosts ever, working on American television for over 60 years. Barker served during WWII in the United States Navy and had a part-time job on the radio during college. After moving to California, Bob had his first show – The Bob Barker Show, which ran for six years. After that, he got his first game show, Truth or Consequences, which he hosted for 18 years. In 1972, Barker finally got on The Price is Right, and remained its host until 2007. As an April Fool’s Day joke, Bob appeared on The Price is Right, in 2015, but lately, he’s reportedly in poor health.

Robert Redford – 83

In 2019, the highly-regarded American actor Robert Redford decided to retire after five decades of working in show business. He is famous for his award-winning role in Inside Daisy Clover. Redford has appeared in over 80 movies, including The Natural, All the President’s Men and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. In 2014, Time magazine named him as the “Godfather of Indie film” as one of the year’s 100 most influential personalities. Redford has also worked as a director. He is the moving force behind 9 Hollywood productions and the documentary Cathedrals of Culture.

Barbara Mandrell – 70

Musician Barbara Mandrell is an actress who also released a long list of country hits back in the ‘70s and the ’80s. Mandrell also had her own prime-time show on NBC which had a hand in helping her skyrocket to fame. Her last concert was held in 1997 at the Grand Ole Opry House before Mandrell officially retired. In 2009, she had the honor of becoming a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee. Even now that she is retired, she’s still a Grand Ole Opry member. Mandrell’s former residence in Whites Creek, Tennessee was converted into a tourist attraction complete with a hotel, restaurant, an indoor shooting range, and outdoor music space.
