What would you do after years of fame and fortune? Would you stay in the spotlight and continue making money until you draw your last breath, or would you withdraw from the public and enjoy living somewhere private with your loved ones? We usually remember celebrities from when they were at the height of their profession, but unfortunately, we quickly lose interest in them after they finish their career. Or maybe, it is fortunate for those stars because while many of them are gone from the spotlight, they are actually enjoying their retirement. Here are some famous actors from the last century, who are still alive and thankfully well.
Dick Van Dyke – 92

With a 7-decade-long career, Dick Van Dyke is spending zero time on retirement planning, as he is still active, currently reprising his role as Mr. Dawes Jr. on Mary Poppins Returns, in 2018. Besides acting, Richard Wayne Van Dyke is a singer, dancer, and a comedian, and has worked on radio and Broadway. He gained fame with his Dick Van Dyke Show from the ‘60s, but also starred in musicals, such as Bye Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. After various TV and movie roles, Van Dyke received five Primetime Emmys, one Tony, and one Grammy award, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
