There are only a few people who hold the singing prowess parallel to that of Demi Lovato. The singing sensation is now 26 years old, however we have been witnessing her talent ever since she was a teenager. Unfortunately, she has never won a Grammy award, the most coveted award in the music industry.
However, she is definitely one step closer to winning it. According to the Grammy’s nomination list, Lovato has been nominated with her co-singer Christina Aguilera for their duet Fall in Love in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. This is not the first time that Lovato has been nominated for a Grammy award; previously, she has received a Grammy nomination for her album Confident in the Best Pop Vocal Album category.

Announcing on Social Media
Demi’s Twitter followers received the good news via her personal Twitter account where the singer disclosed it with a screencap of the Grammys website. With the image Lovato gave a very heartfelt caption, whereby she thanked her co-nominee Christina Aguilera and also said that the nomination gave her hope of a brighter future.
The nomination, as per Lovato, is a dream come true for her (even though she has been nominated before). However, she later clarifies that it’s a dream come true for her because she got co-nominated with a singer she has idolized her entire life.
The feelings of love and adoration are not one-sided, that’s for sure. Aguilera has not kept her love for Lovato a secret matter at all, gracing the latter’s Instagram post with her comment declaring just how much she missed having Demi by her side.
Demi has often used her social media accounts to share both good and bad news with her fans. Only hours before she shared her Grammy nomination, Demi posted her Spotify statistics for the year, announcing that her songs had been listened by fans over a billion times in 65 countries and thanking them for their continuous love and support.

A Positive Time After Rehab
There is no secret about the fact that these uplifting posts are coming in after Lovato exited rehab around a month ago, having spent three months or so in the facility to sober up after she allegedly overdosed on drugs back in July.
While social media has always been the platform of choice by Demi to interact with her fan base, she still made it a point to cleanse it of some negative influences that had found their way into her life. According to reports, after returning from rehab, Lovato de-added and unfollowed some celebrities from her profile, offering no explanation whatsoever about her move. However, sources have revealed that the move has been taken to create a more positive online environment for Demi.
The same source also added that Demi’s emotional growth has been exemplary, and there is no doubt she is maturing as a person with each passing day. However, it is imperative that she take things slow, a fact that she has now realized herself as well. This time around, Demi is taking every day as it comes, and is taking help from a very strong circle of supportive friends.

There is no doubt about the commitment Demi has made with sobriety this time around, and we are hopeful the star, if and when she wins her Grammy, will soar to greater heights than she has already achieved. But, even more important than her commercial success is her personal success, at least to her, and she is now on a mission to live a sober lifestyle. In fact, according to the same source, every day that she spend sobered up, she considers it to be a personal accomplishment.
Hopefully the distance from celebrities who were adding negativity to her life (which may include Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez, two of the many people she unfollowed on social media) will prove to be good for her.
Whether Demi ends up winning the Grammy or not is something we cannot predict, however one thing is for sure: this nomination has provided a much-needed confidence boost to Demi.
