The summit between America and North Korea will take place in June but it seems that Kim Jong-un is preparing positively for the historic meeting as he released three US detainees. Earlier, the North Korean president announced to denuclearise the North Korean Peninsula in a meeting with South Korea.
Behind the scenes, Trump has made a sharp team to make a fast-paced strategy that would back him in the coming summit with North Korea. Till now Trump’s team doing well in the early meetings with Kim but it would take a lot to convince him to abort his nuclear weapon tests.
Last Wednesday, Mike Pompeo, the former CIA director said that the outcomes of these meetings are yet to come and there is an uncertainty about the results of these meetings. But there is one thing which dead sure, this govt will never repeat the mistakes made by the previous govt, said Pompeo. He further said that they want to solve the matter once and for all. Pompeo also said that this time their eyes are wide open and a bad deal is not what they are hoping for.
The team that is working for the coming summit is supervised by Mike Pompeo and John R. Bolton, National Security Adviser. And the strategy made by that team was approved by Joseph R. DeTrani. Josep, a former official of US intelligence, led the team traveled to North Korea back in 2009. While giving an interview, Joseph said that the preparations are good for the summit and the success of Mr. Trump will heavily rely on the assistance provided by Pompeo.
However, the time and place for the meeting are yet to be decided. The most eminent places for the meeting are Singapore and a Peace House located between South Korea and North Korea. The three Americans that were released by North Korea include, Kim Dong-Chul, Tony Kim, and Kim Hak-song. Last month a statement was released by Trump in which he said that he was doing his best to release those three persons.
The release of those three was forced by John R. Bolton, an American Diplomat. And in a face to face meeting with North Korean leader, Pompeo asked several times for the release of those 3 US citizens. North Korean media reported that three US citizens were recovered from a hotel in Pyongyang after they were released from a labor camp last week.
However, Trump also hinted at the release of his tweet on Wednesday.
As everybody is aware, the past Administration has long been asking for three hostages to be released from a North Korean Labor camp, but to no avail. Stay tuned!

Those three were still under Kim’s reign but then moved to a tourist program. And after that, the condition of those citizens was changed radically. Choi Sung-ryong, the activist of political prisoners, said in an interview that they believe Mr. Trump would take those US citizens on the summit day or an envy can take them back to America. The team of Mr. Trump is doing its best to fasten the actions purposed by US alliance South Korea. And they will also ask Kim to commit for the denuclearization as soon as 2020 when Trump faces re-election.
According to Bolton, Trump would not need a larger team to complete negotiations with North Korea under ‘Libyan model’ rule. The Libyan model referenced to the agreement made by Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, who agreed to abandon nuclear weapons back in 2003 in an exchange to a temporary UN seat. The only thing that Trump needs is a technical team who can visit North Korea and verify that the nuclear weapon plant has been shut down by North Korea.
These negotiations differ with the negotiations of 2009 due to the fact that this time Mr. Trump is backed by Bolton and both of them would demand immediate actions from Kim. According to sources, the US strategy would be to push North Korea over the line. Mr. Bolton started the preparations for this meeting as he brought his deputy Mira Ricardel back to the team. Mira had already worked in Pentagon during the presidency of Bush. Other key members of the team include Matthew Pottinger, Director of Asian Affairs and Allison Hooker, Director of Korea.
While commenting on this summit, Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, a committee member of House of Foreign Affairs, said that this is a gamble played by an immature president who is all over the North Korean matter.
