A new year brings with it lots of stuff, and for motor vehicle enthusiasts, this means new car models.
With the emerging trends in the automotive industry, most of us regard 2020 as the future we’ve all been waiting for.
Given the models set to be released this year, we’d say that this claim is truly justified. How about a look at the most eagerly awaited 2020 models?
Tesla Roadster 2.0
The first-generation Roadster debuted eight years ago, and in car years, that seems like a lifetime ago.
Over that period though, Tesla as a car manufacturing company has greatly evolved, largely thanks to the able leadership of CEO Elon Musk.
The Roadster 2.0 will obviously be an electric car, its acceleration rate being 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 2 seconds. Impressive, right? Even better, the vehicle will have a mile range of 600 while on a full charge.
These numbers may seem overly ambitious, but the fact that Musk has delivered with the Tesla Models 3, X, and S calls for some optimism. We truly can’t wait!
Ford Mustang Mach-E
You can never go wrong with any Ford machine, can you? And we see no reason why the Mach-E should be any different.
This Mustang will be an electric car, and analysts expect it to be the best performing non-Tesla owned electric vehicle of 2020.
Its specs also seem to support this claim, seeing as it packs a 459hp, has an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and a mile range of over 300 while fully charged. What more could you ask for?
Volkswagen GTI
While the new VW Golf model may not make its way to the American market, the GTI certainly will.
With the 2020 version being an improvement to the already existing model, drivers can’t wait to get their hands on this new machine.
The VW GTI has been known to be an immensely enjoyable machine to drive, and its spacious interior is a definite plus. Consumers have also hailed praise on its infotainment system, describing it as user-friendly.
Why then would they not be excited over an even better version of this?
Ford Bronco
Yet another Ford entry, the company announced the Bronco as far back as in 2017. Since then, Ford enthusiasts have been waiting and waiting, and the year of reckoning is finally upon us.
Not much about it is known save for the Bronco R prototype the company shared with its potential customers. Everyone’s waiting to be surprised, and the fact that Ford is a reputable company seems to have everyone hoping for the best.
Polestar 2
The Polestar 1 may not have impressed as many would have hoped, but that’s not to say that the Polestar 2 will be disappointing.
Its preliminary specs are already encouraging as it is, especially the 0 – 60mph in 4.5 seconds. The model will also have 2 electric motors with a range target of 275 miles.
Additionally, the car’s infotainment system will be Android-powered, and with it comes all the perks of a Google-backed device. This includes Google Assistant, Google Maps, and so much more.
