With over forty-nine followers on Instagram, were pretty much sure anything Gigi Hadid recommends on her account would instantly gain a plus point to her fans. However, on the supermodel’s recent trip to Mykonos, she revealed a traumatic experience that made her swear to never return on the island in Greece.

Gigi Hadid Got Robbed in Mykonos

Behind the seemingly awesome adventures shown on her other photos, the twenty-four-year-old American fashion model uploaded a mirror selfie of her, taken in Mykonos revealing a horrible experience. On her caption, she told her fans that she would never go back to the island because she got robbed there.

Hadid was obviously pissed off as she advised her fans to spend their fortune elsewhere. She warned her followers not to let Instagram deceive them with spectacular photos, and she even said that she would never step foot in Mykonos ever again. How can you enjoy beautiful scenery if you’re worried about your valuables or even your own safety, right?

She shared the said photograph on her second Instagram account that was meant to feature her photography. It has over eighty-four thousand followers, and the photo got more than nine thousand likes and over one thousand, seven hundred comments by the time this writing was published.

People Told Her to Get Over With It

People usually include Mykonos, Greece in their bucket list because of its stunning views

As disappointed Hadid was, the people on Instagram expressed their disenchantment to her as well. Several people defended Mykonos and told Hadid that her misfortune could happen anywhere.

There were even comments comparing the other beautiful places like New York, Miami, and Paris where robbery is worse. It appears that Mykonos’ reputation is well-established that even Gigi Hadid’s unpleasant encounter wouldn’t stain it.

Nobody Got Hurt

She and her sisters Bella, Marielle, and Alana Hadid flew to Greece to unwind, so we can’t also blame Gigi on how she felt.

Although, fans weren’t very happy that the model had to defame the island invalidating the other good aspects that it offers. They think, using her popularity to convince people not to go to Mykonos anymore because of her own mishap, was way out of line.

The Hadid sisters didn’t provide further information about the incident, but their father, Mohamed Hadid said that while his daughters were exploring the island, the place where they were staying got mugged. They didn’t clarify what did the thief steal from the girls. He just said that the items belonged to Gigi and Bella and that they were thankful that nobody got hurt.

Anyway, Gigi posted another series of photos after that, showing that they still had a good time on the island despite the horrible incident.
