Aston Martin DB5, $4.6 million

The Bond car, the DB5, is arguably one of the most prestigious automotive silhouettes in movie history, which accounts for its expensive price tag. While the original car in frame fetched a staggering $4.6 million in 2010, a fully restored version with all the Bond-specific features and extras fetched $6.4 million in 2019. Both Goldfinger and Thunderball featured the DB5.

DeLorean DMC-12, $5 million 

The DeLorean DMC-12, the vehicle that took Marty McFly on his time-traveling journey, quickly rose to fame. These vehicles were only produced in seven total. One of which sold for $541,000 at an auction in 2011. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, a nonprofit organization established by Michael J. Fox, received the revenues. The McFly actor is currently afflicted with this dreadful illness.

1968 Ford Gulf GT40, $11 million

It is nearly impossible to forget the dashing Steve McQueen driving the 1968 Ford GT40 Gulf while discussing the best and most expensive movie automobiles. In the 1971 film Le Mans, this beast appeared for a brief time, nonetheless, it managed to capture the attention of every car enthusiast.

 

The cost of the ride is another element that contributes to its uniqueness. It stands at a fantastic value of about $11 million and is reportedly the priciest movie car in America. Of course, it would be sacrilege to discuss the Le Mans franchise without bringing up the Porsche 911S. The Porsche 911S is equally well-known and compared to the 1968 Ford GT40 Gulf in a movie franchise that was all about cars.

The Batmobile needs no introduction. Having served as the primary vehicle for the most human of superheroes, the car developed quite the reputation. Not only possessing an abundance of gadgets, but the car also boasts the keenest specs of its time. The tech-filled convertible was one of the most forward-thinking parts of the show.

 

The original Batmobile, having launched all future Batmans from the 1960s onward, ended up being bought by a logistics company owner in 2013 for a staggering $4.6 million. While it’s not really as high-tech as you might want a Batmobile to be, it is still a neat car.
